2/20 Adult Schoolの授業

最近America Los AngelsのGerdenaのAdult schoolに通っています。。。
Adult Schoolって何？ていうとアメリカの移民向けに
セカンドランゲージとしての英語を学習する場所みたいです。
なので、授業には結構ラティーノが多かった。(半分くらい)
あと時々コリアンとか

最初に先生の発音を聞いてDictation

以下の文章を聞き取りしたけどbought usが一緒に聞こえて
最初は？？？ってなった。

Dictationの現在刑、過去形、過去分詞を確認

このあたりは英語ではなんていうのかわからなかったけど
たぶんそんなことしてるんだろうなって雰囲気でわかった。

Dictationで書いた文の目的にあったW wordで疑問文を作る

W word: what when who where why
haveとかは 現在完了形 の文法かな?
自分メモ:have/hasn'tのときは過去分詞は変化しないけど
他の場合は現在刑にもどるのに注意しよう

最後に昨日の復習

道を尋ねるときの聞き方

下のPLACEに場所を入れる
Excuse me would you please tell me how to get the PLACE form here?

道を教えるとき

授業の教科書の例題、最初のRiver Stが自分がいるStで
次に目的のSt(ここではThird Av)に歩いてもらって、
そこで左にまがって、継続してThird Avを歩いてもらって
右手か左手かに目的の場所が見え、向こう側(across)に
何か(SOMEPLACE)が見えますよというような感じ…
とっさには難しいかも。。。
Certainly, walk up River St to Third Av and turn left,
walk along the third Av, you'll see the PALCE on the LEFT/RIGHT,
across from the SOMEPLACE.

メモ

walk up -> 歩み寄る
walk along -> 〔前方へ〕歩く
drive up -> 車でやって来る［入って来る］
drive along -> 辞書になかったけどwalk alongの車versionのようなものだと思う
